Basically I’m a manic depressive with adult ADD and severe insomnia that has decided to use these “conditions” to both our advantage.

What you read here is far more formal than what you will find in the regular blog entries and all my other correspondence and writing. There I strive to entertain, or at the very least not bore. I figure if you are here you are looking for formal information.

You won’t find a lot of personal information but I realize a name helps to relate so you can call me Vince.

Beyond that doesn’t matter because this is about you.

Of course some professional background always helps in making a decision about whether or not it’s worth investing time to read what is offered so here it is.

I started into Internet marketing a little over 4 years ago. I have purposefully stayed out of the make money niche until now but have stayed in touch through forums, blogs, email lists and newsletters. You’ll find out why I changed my mind on this in a minute.

I have taught classes on web programming and web design at a University and have taught college teachers how to better use web technology in the classroom. My ability to explain and clarify complex issues even to people with little or no background in a topic made me a popular instructor. However I found the curriculum to be restrictive, became board, and stopped.

I am an avid learner, creative, love to teach, and have a unique perspective. I love to use these strengths to come up with, and share, new insights and ideas which are often an integration of what I have assimilated across many fields and apply to one situation.

I also love to write.

These very strengths, though, lead to a passionate, some say compulsive, need to explore everything all the time, and to bore easily; my biggest professional weakness, until now.

This caused me to fail out of college because I spent too much time learning about the Internet instead of studying.

This leaves a staggered history of jobs because I get bored, consume myself with a new course of exploration. Feel constricted by the structured environment of working I let my duties slide and quit at the last minute to avoid being fired.

Finally, a little over 4 years ago, I decide it best to strike out on my own and turn to the only really consistent part of my life, the web, and started exploring how to make a living online. Had I realized Internet marketing existed when I started learning the web over 12 years ago, instead of being a geek and learning only the technical and design side, things would be very different, which is a whole other story.

And so we come to now, and why I suddenly decided to plunge into the IM niche. Am I unsuccessful and seeking a quick buck?

No, although I am only making a marginal income in my online business ventures. But it has nothing to do with my capability or knowledge. The reason I am only marginally successful, and why I suddenly turned to a niche I have purposely avoided, lies in what I’ve said above.

You see, I spend 6-12 hours per day on the Internet. The problem is only a few of them are dedicated to doing what I need to do to grow a business. And even those few are done with half a heart, and often involve revisions to get things just right.

The rest of the time is spent exploring. Stringing trains of thought between completely unrelated topics in a field. Discovering patterns. All very academic but not very conducive to putting food on the table.

So this last Monday I sat to think of what I might do to overcome this “weakness” so I could actually build a glorious future for me and my family.

During my self evaluation it hit me like a thunder clap. I don’t need to overcome these weaknesses. I need to use them to the benefit of as many people as possible.

And then, while listening to Anthony Robbins tell me I needed to take massive action, it all came together.

And here you are, at MFARTR.com, the creation that will let me use all my strengths, talents, and passion to benefit you.

Here you will find me documenting everything I know from four years of brutal experience, everything I learn that is new and relevant, every result I get with my experiments in my taking massive action.

Massive, continuous, action on an expedition into the boundless world of making a living online where I can explore, learn, think, create and teach to my heart’s content.
